Welcome to the Sinead Loughnane Academy Teacher Training Centre, an Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Approved Dance Centre tutoring all units of Level 3 Diploma in Dance Instruction and Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education in Modern Theatre Dance and Tap Dance. We are based in the Elgar Centre Upton, Northamptonshire just a few minutes from Junction 15A of the M1.
All learners wishing to become qualified ISTD teachers must do so through an Approved Dance Centre covering both the Level 3 Diploma in Dance Instruction (DDI) and Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education (DDE). All Approved Dance Centres (ADCs) must have undergone an approval process, including an inspection; to be sure they meet all ISTD and Regulatory Authorities criteria.
As a learner you must register with an ADC to enable you to take any of the qualification examinations.

You can choose to study all units of each level together or separately with five years to complete them all from date of registration. Each learner is different whether you are in full time study and want to train alongside this, a professional dancer looking to plan for the future or changing your career choice and starting from scratch. With a tutor that has been through the process of each level of qualification we understand how difficult it can be to train alongside other work commitments and we try to tailor our courses meeting with the needs of our learners.
Please contact us for further information or to arrange a meeting to discuss how we can help you.
